Netgear hardware firewall

Ive got a netgear dg384g (i think)....how do i know if the hardware firewall is swithcged on?

Is there an option within the settings to turn it on/off?...or is it always on?


Its just ive only just istalled vista and was told the built in firewall within vista + the routers firewalls fine..just wanna make sure its on.

The only bit I can see is under WAN setup where you can 'Disable port scan and DOS protection'.javascript:loadhelp('_secu','spi')

So from first setup of the router the firewall is already on....it dont need turning on.

as theres somthing to do with mcafee is that to do with the routers firewall?
