new 172 owner,rattles and fuel?

hi guy's, just found this site again after not having my valver for a couple of years, just bought a 172 on an x reg, do i really have to use shell optimax in this car, and why, would i see the difference and would it prevent engine knocking?
also the car has a few rattles that are really anoying, one from drivers door,if i push the door card it stops, what is it? and the worst one is coming from i think the drivers front wheel, only when driving, not a bearing, but sounds more like a creaking than a rattle, any ideas? thanks

98 ron fuel "optimax" is not essential but it is recommended.
Very slight if any difference in performance from my experience, would be more noticeable in turbo cars. Should help prevent pinking and knocking with the higher quality of fuel.

maybe a speaker loose or a bolt rattling? U could take the door card off for a look. And it sounds as if the front drivers wheel is a top mount suspension problem which renault know about. It makes the noise when the steering has some lock on going over slight bumps.

thanks guy's, yeah the top mount was something i thought of, it went in my valver, any ideas on cost for the 172?

Take it to the dealer and say it is a manufacturing fault and all renaultsports have them See if they will do the work for free
