New and looking for a 172

Hi all,
new to the site as I'm looking for a 172 to use as a track day car. Not sure whether I want a Ph 1 or 2 as I haven't driven either yet but if anyone has a car they're thinking of selling with some track-focused mods I'm all ears

Great looking site with lots of info, looks like I'll get good value for my tenner!

all in my opinion of course but ive had both and i may be buying another phase 1 in the next week or 2

Agreed... I've only test driven the phase 1, but even from the 20 minutes I've spent in one, I'd buy one over a phase 2 for a track car. No question.

The only reason I got the phase 2 was because of the slightly more pleasing interior. Although I then threw that out the window by going for the cup, but that's a different matter.
