New battery but no ignition lights or power to car.

Hi, thought battery had died as car did the click click no start routine. New battery in but now nothing. Except when I turn the key to its first point the alarm goes off for say 10 seconds but doesn't repeat. No power to windows, radio, clock etc. No lights on dash either.

My ignition barrel has been 'ropey' for a while now. The spring back (at last point/starter) hasn't worked for yonks and has to be turned back manually.

Neither the central locking on fob or central locking dash button are working but red light on fob flashes when pressed.

Any ideas would be great. Im baffled.
