what cam do you have?
little help : when its sunny outside the sky always gets to bright, you can use a tripod making one picture very dark to catch the blue sky and clouds, and then take another pic in the same angle to get the right lighting of the car
you can put these two pics toghether (Photoshop/photomatix) and the result is a very clear pic with optimal lighting of the car and sky etc

oh yes you can do it but nevertheless you have only one picture
with the automatic lighting exposure you have at least 3 pics you can handle with and put them together for best result
get out to clean the clio, take my cam with me and later i show you what i mean in another thread ;-)
