if i keep the 6k miles per year and go over that but buy the car at the end will the final value change, theres a green 200 no recaros in renault gateshead so im going to see if they will match the offer

If you buy the car at the end, it doesn't matter if you've done 10,000 miles or 125,000 miles! They won't care and the final payment won't change.

Hi James

Many thanks for coming to me for the Clio 200 order – much appreciated!

Too confirm I will now order a 200 Cup in Glacier White with Cup Spoiler, Air Con and Black speedline alloy wheels.

Ordered through a certain Renault employee in this topic ;) Tried the 200 on the Bedford trackday evening and loved it so it was innevitable.

So if anyone wants to buy a 172 flamer around the end of September let me know lol.

Is this deal limited to just the cup version?

No, you can get the same % discount on a FF and the GFV (final payment) is higher, so if you are speccing up a cup it is not a lot more to get a FF

Example: (200 FF with Cup Chassis)

£999 deposit
24 x £242.44
GFV is £9490

Richard out of interest is their anyway of upping the deposit to bring the monthly payments down?

The GFV will remain the same. The only thing that will alter that is the mileage you select. If your sticking to 6k per year then it will remain the same. no matter how much you put in.

iirc (it was some time ago) when I did these PCP's, it worked out roughly as every £500 extra you put in, removes £10 off your monthly payments.

If you're planning on paying the £8500 GFV and keeping the car, then load all the deposit you want. If you're planning on handing it back or think you'll be bored, then put the bare minimum in.

I really dont know what to do,as i'm saving for a house. Job is nice and stable so no worries there. I can easily afford it, and dont use the car for work (so thats good). I have the Cup to sell with some bits ~5k. I can put the deposit down now, sell the Cup nearer the time. I could then either lump the Cup money into an account for the D/D for the 200, and that would see to that for the two years, or add it to my house savings and earn extra interest. Or, i keep the Cup, and it'll be worth nothing in two years anyway...... What to do. Help me guys!

You need to write a spreadsheet! Seriuosly!

How much will your cup cost you over the next two years? insurance, Servicing, tyres, brakes, road tax, unforseen breakdowns etc etc.
Then work out how much the 200 will cost. Payments, one years road tax, one service, insurance difference etc etc. Then see if it makes financal sense.

If I was you (assuming you actually do want to buy a brand new car) I'd sell the cup, put down the minimum deposit, put the rest of the cup money in the bank and pay the £199 out of your wages. Come end of term, you'll have £4k of the £8.5k GFV.

Good idea. All major bits have been done on my cup, camblets/exhaust/suspension and what not, so unless the engine goes pop, hopefully not a lot to go wrong. Low milage at the mo too. However, the cup will be worth what £1500 in two years, where as i could pimp around in a new ugly car for two years for the price i could get for the Cup and bits now. Aaarrrgh!

Bear in mind when you apply for mortgages they will count any outgoings against what they can lend you.....

Yes. I could use the money i get from the Cup, put it in a seperate account to pay for the 200, but i suppose they will see it as an outgoing which ever way i do it.

absolutely, to be honest if you are looking to get a house soon my advise would be to wait until you're all moved in etc before taking out any type of loan/finance etc as like Richard said this will be used against you.
It almost stitched me up having my little personal loan as although i could easily afford the repayments this loan was like the thorn in my side, luckily my way around this was to have a letter from my father saying he will clear the loan. The mortgage application got approved and i didn't need to pay the loan off, although if i could have wangled it for my dad to actually pay it off that would have been a bonus

Can a delivery date on this offer be chosen does anyone know?

I wouldn't be able to take delivery until mid-November. I presume payments start when i have taken delivery and the deposit is left at time of ordering?

+ If you think running a car is expensive - just wait til you start getting bills for a house !

Keep your current car until you've been in the house for at least a year would be my advice.

I don't know about dates, ive not even been given one yet. i havn't paid the full deposit yet just £100 rest is due when i collect car.

  Nissan 350z
Im the same claire.

Ive paid £500 deposit and the rest will be paid when i collect (i paid a larger deposit to keep the repayments to £199).

According to Richard1 the factory will allow orders on the 24th of this month. I assume the current slots are filled so you have to wait for the next alocation to open (Someone in the know care to elaborate?). So until then nothing.

  Nissan 350z
True. But waiting will mean this peasent gets to drive a brand new 10 plate compared to a 9yr old 172 :)

I think im looking forward to being able to drive a car and be its first owner more than anything else to be honest as ive always bought 4th, 5th hand etc previously!

I just wish id known about these kind of deals sooner as its obviously nothing new and i would have probably done something similar for a 197 if given such a great price.

No Mike, it will simply be X number of weeks from the date the order is submitted. Obviously the car can wait for you within reason due to work commitments etc once it's at the dealer, but you can't delay delivery without delaying ordering unfortunately.

Damn, oh well offers come and go....

Thanks for posting these deals everyone.

I went to my local dealer today to take one out for a test drive as my Astra VXR goes back in September and need to sort out a worthy replacement. In recent weeks i've tried a Golf GTI, Scirroco 2.0TSFI, Leon FR and even the Ibiza Cupra (wanted to try the DSG) but none of them really got me that excited (they seemed a bit boring after two years with the VXR). I didn't try the Focus RS as I think it stands out too much and would be worried about leaving it anywhere.

The Megane on the other hand turned out to be exactly what I was after. On paper it has a bit more power than the VXR but it was difficult to notice as its delivered in a more linear fashion and with a bit more control. Handling was spot on and didn't get out of shape or feel skittish at all despite crashing down a wet bumpy country lane.

The gearbox felt very solid and had a nice short shift in comparison to the VXR. The only thing I didn't like was the yellow rev counter and 19" alloys but thankfully the standards 18s IMO are a lot better.

The only options I went for were the spare wheel and keyless entry as I felt Glacier white paint with the standard 18 black alloys looked immense.

They gave me the same info about orders reopening at the end of this month so hopefully should be taking delivery towards the end of September. I just hope it doesnt rattle like my old 182!

Its gonna be a longggggggggg 3 months.

Is this a good price?

Clio 200 FF
Glacier white
Cup chassis
17" black speedlines

£16455.

That is on 3yrs pcp with £1000 deposit.

  LY R26
purchase price doest really matter on a PCP deal

what you need to look at is Monthly Cost, GFV & Mileage

  GTD, Lupo
£274 a month.
Final payment £7572.
Apr 5.6%.
Mileage 6000 per year.

That works aout about 18.5k and im guessing the first and last payment are more due to admin charge. Its a lot of cash to pay. What is the spec??

19k for a clio is a lot!

Nearly £300 a month for a clio... Its probably quite cheap but not cheap enough for me!

And me mate...I was hoping for around £250.
The problem is i haven't got a decent car to px,only got a 1995 escort at the moment.
I know you can get 0% on hp but that would work out more per month wouldn't it?

Price is right for the spec, but as you say your deposit is letting you down.

Renault have some 0% offers on at the mo but that ends at the end of this month.

Some options prices will be rising too, Recaros being one of them.

IT will yeah.

Down the spec a bit! I got a 200 cup on the 999/199 deal and the only options I had were speedlines and paint. I paid the options on the deposit and kept my payments at £199. My deposit was £1580 iirc.
