I hate Evos, as a Subaru guy. But annoyingly I seem to be falling in love with these.
What’s not to love? Best thing to do is buy one and see.... Like this one

Lovely car, can't beat an Evo for fun (and expensive servicing!)
Barely used now, but 145k is a high mileage for one of these I'd have thought!

As John states its a Japanese import so came over in KMs 139,372 = 86,601 miles, add on the 6k I've put on it in my ownership puts it about to 92k roughly.
It's a huge surprise that people could afford to do 86k in one tbh.
Over 20 years though. That makes it only a fortune to fuel every year.
Yeah, 86k in 18 years. 4 miles in 2 years
Only Scoob I'd consider is a 22B. They're worlds apart in terms of drive.
f**k me that's nice!
Best model, best colour on the best wheels.
Wanna buy it ?♂️
Just get that V slowly dying amongst the undergrowth, next to The Skylark chippy, Chris.I'd love it but I'd be killed. Instantly. Not by the car, either.
Well if possession is 9/10ths of the law its mine now anyway.
Moved to mine for a clutch change that we should get done by about June looking at our diaries atm.
It seems to be the way with Evos, most seem to turn into ‘investment’ cars and barely turn a wheel month to month.
I had the chance to have it out all last weekend. But decided to potter about in the Clio. I think that’s when I made my mind up that it’s time to sell.
Seems to be around the 2-3 year mark when a lot of owners sell them on.
The honeymoon period passes - the windy draught in your empty wallet gets tiresome and you're immensely paranoid about every knock and rattle that you 'think' you hear.
Evos cost a lot to run - and whichever way you look at it, the small number of miles compared to the £££ spent upon it, starts to resemble a monthly mortgage payment.
That said, they are utter Addiction Machines. Nice ones command and receive respect when you're out on the road. Mid-300s bhp is ball-park territory for the mass of VAG sheeps out there in 2018. But with little effort, these were matching (and exceeding) those levels of performance over two decades ago.
Brilliant machines, built for harsh driving, yet wrapped in a body and chassis floor made of paper. Without thinking, if money allowed - I'd have another.

I wince every time I glance at it in passing.
I've never seen it!
Wha??
Heading down towards the war memorial from the Darwen side, just look down the little dead-end side street that runs alongside The Skylark chippy. There’s a silver V parked up there, caked in leaves, twigs, splatterings of mud from rain -you name it.
It’s been there as long as we’ve been in BX - but did initially see it on the road a few times.
Won’t be worth jack soon.....View attachment 1396495
That's a shame that, how can people leave a car like that?
What was it that was up the road from us @Djw Dave a 3?
It sat for an easy 6 years plus and only moved when they sold the house.

Amen, brother.
Although they cost a lot to keep, there’s not a whole lot this side of £100,000 that would match it, or, mine at least.
I’ve done 6 track days this year, it’s wanted a rear diff and regular maintenance parts and that’s it. The machinery I’m capable of showing a clean pair of heels to in it, is frankly amazing. Given that it’s 20 years old. I think I’ll have just tipped 3000 miles this year. And it’s about £1 a mile excluding fuel.
Everywhere I go people compliment it, especially out on track, where they belong.
I [emoji3590] my Evo.
This is where they really belong
How much is it up for?
No lol. The OP's V that is for sale..Was that aimed at me?
