New car, very yellow.

So I've been a member on here since I was 16 and I'm now on car number 4... I'm also on ph2 clio number 4 so it's safe so say I think I'm addicted.
Here's a couple of my last cars which I called Milo & Piérre, I loved them dearly but I just grew out of them because they were both a 1.2 which was slow and boring, although pretty.

In May I turned 21 so decided it was time to get myself something a little prettier and faster. Which I did, you'll probably see me call it Lily cause it's LY.
It's interior and paintwork is immaculate, apart from the front end which is being treated to a respray which yes i know, is gonna be one of the biggest pain in the hoops known to man.
I Can't get over the colour though and it gives me the biggest smile every time I see it!
Before anyone panics, I won't be stancing this one, not at least until I get bored of the colour which is certainly gonna be no time soon.
More pictures when it's fixed!

How bad is the front end? I'd leave it if it's just a few stone chips as it's very hard to get a good colour match.

Yeah. I'd agree.
My car is in very good shape paint wise appart from front bumper stone chips. And I've not had it painted for the same reason.

Doesn't really detract from the car and you only see them upon inspection. A bad colour match would stand out more.

Number of times people have said to me, it can't be 10 year old paint surely?! [emoji41]

It's not, it's got a red bumper haha, I know it is being a 3 stage pearl, I used to work in a body shop and this was a dreaded colour but I've got someone that will do a good job! :)

Surprised Craig never kept the car, if your after a front bumper etc.. I may have one in the garage.
Look forward to see the progress of the car and how you add your own personal touch.

He did consider it and putting a fancy engine in it but too late; I stole it. :)
A liquid Yellow bumper?! (Prays to God it is)
️Thankyou.

Sadly I bet that bumper has as much chance of matching as a new spray job - even out the factory they came out different xD

I remember a few CS Saturdays back when we were at Gaydon there were 6 or so that parked up - all slightly different xD

Yes I know that but! It would be fine for track evenings! Save me using my freshly painted one and getting it chipped or.. Smashed up haha.

Good choice, I still miss my clio every now and then. Think I sold you my carbon dash trims actually.

If you ain't about the stance life anymore and plan to track it, I'd be looking at new mounts (engine, suspension, exhaust), cup shocks with a set of lowering springs and some decent rubber/brakes. [emoji16]

Probably, they're in this one now!
It's got alllllll of that already on it, all polybushed too if I remember correctly.
Bar the lowering springs and solid top mounts and which I'm gonna grab some when I get paid. :)

Those first two are superb mate, the wheels on the grey one are phenomenal! Wish I'd gone a less generic route really... what suspension were they running?

As for the LY, it looks great too :) just more interested in the others as they're something a bit different.

The wheels on the grey one were worth more than the car was! ️Thankyou, there's not a lot you can do with 1.2's so I went down the styled route.
The LY will go down the turbo route eventually, and maybe some nice wheels, we'll see!
The first two were just on FK Highsport coilovers, nothing special really!

Pretty sure she bought it and found out it was a cat C so got rid, now the new owner is selling up. The new owner must only have had it themselves for about a month?

Light bump and a cat C doesn't add up. That said it looks like theyd been through it with a fine tooth comb. If it's repaired well it'll be reet.

One of the things I used to love about the Scotia White on the Evo - pretty much the most generic, white-van-man colour going. No colour matching issues there. I bet you could have almost got away by painting it with a brush!

The person selling it now is Laurens boyfriend i believe, i think the story goes -
She bought it for £1500
Found loads and loads of issues with it (along with it failing the vic check)
Found out Craig bought it for just £300 (I think this was her biggest problem with it - knowing he was making money even though it was probably still worth the £1500)
Took it back to Craig for a refund

A week later her boyfriend owns it (not sure how much he/they paid for it this second time) a week after that he put it up for sale on one of the facebook groups (with no price and then got assey when people asked him to price it) and a couple weeks after that its now on gumtree @ pretty strong money imo!
