Also need new steering wheel.

It doesn't look as good as the 182 IMO, and its less refined but more fun when you're in the mood. Louder on acceleration as well proper roars.
Interior is a bit naff but the 182 wasn't anything special either.

Its quicker too. I would rather have my 182 back but I needed the money and for 2k its a brilliant car !

Its not so much that (Although insurance is £600 cheaper on the Ph1) I owed money for the 182 now I owe nothing :) so I'm paying less per month.

I despised them too once ! thought they were really ugly but they grew on me.

Ta Daz :) I was going to PM you a link LOL.

Duck I felt like that with the 182 plus I was terrified of it getting damaged because it was worth so much (£6k is a lot to a 19 year old :o) I feel easier with this one plus it only costs me petrol & insurance :D - £100-£150 a month max!

Also I don't feel like I'm spoiling the car by modding it so coils & new seats incoming ;)
 
I just love ph1's and would have already modded the f**k out of one if I had bought one.

I'm now starting to mod the 197 though so all is good, albeit everything is going to take longer because I have less spare cash to do it with :(

Lol. If I had the money I would still love a 197, test drove the R27 before I got my 182 and loved it !
 
My 182 is more expensive to run than the 172, esp on fuel but that might be new car syndrome.

looks well tidy that,i was in same boat as you went from a 172 cup to a ph1 and i love it.good alternitave !
