New cat fitted- now louder than before!?

Had a new replacement cat fitted at exhaustuk today (cat,middle section n backbox is my system both ktec ultra parts) and now it's really loud, louder than when I had a straight thru middle section on. Reason my I got a middle section was because it was too loud. Does the cat just need to be bedded in? And it'll get quieter or will it not change?

Non genuine cats do sound different, that's why genuine cats are loads more expensive.

I had a custom cat before. And coz Clio n vxr's run hotter than normal so mr exhaustuk said it melted the inside n started to rattle. Hense the replace. But just wanting to know weather after a few miles it'll get quieter once it's bedded in n got some crap in it?

if it was melted it will have been a big restriction so acting as a silencer. New one should be flowing a lot more freely so it will be louder. Does sound like its pretty crap though

Probably not mate, try and source a genuine 2nd hand cat. When i put my genuine cat back on the Ktech system its well quiet.
