Afternoon all, i just bought an 04 clio cup 182 in black. 94k on the clock, full renault history, belts done by renault 6 weeks ago and two previous owners for less than 2k.
This is the first renault ive owned since a h plate renault 5 turbo that blew up on me many many moons ago so im a little bit tentative at the minute.
Im just after a bit of info regarding the car. ie are these engines strong as when i hit 5k rpm it all went a bit nuts. Can these engines cope with the surge in power that comes at 5k and what gives this surge in power, is it the variable valve timing or just the way the engine delivers it.
It seems very aggressive, almost pulling the steering wheel out of my hands at times, but below that seems very subdued, again is that just the way the engine is.
