New Clio review What Car

  MKIII 138

i can imagine from that last shot a RS version looking at least as mean as the 172/182 and having more power should keep its pace up with the outgoing model.

... however does a car match the sum of its parts ? no. so i hope the fun hasnt vanished, i dont mean power fun, 50:50 weight balance fun, rwd fun, i mean that spark the curent RS has that keeps you alive and on your toes whilst making you feel poweful in a tiny car so you dont feel like a dick head with a huge spoiler and a dump valve but a kind of illegal fun by just cruising even at town speeds like you could burst away at any seconds

a hard act to beat the current RS imo as the light weight keeps the accelaration and throttle seem so sharp.

"For perceived quality (the impression you get when you open the doors and touch or look at the fit and finish of the interior) the Clio is as good as small cars come. Its at least the equal of the VW Polo....."

Interior looks like a massive improvement.

Overall, appears Renault have engineered it to be a "quality" product. Not sure if its up there with the Polos and Lupos, but does look interesting never the less.

Wonder what the hot hatch variatnts will bring?

How about a Renault Clio 2.0 192 Alonso?

Have to disagree, too many round things for my liking.

Oh and the centre console with the HU looks cheap and nasty:sick:

Im not liking the interior at all, looks really disjointed and lacking in any sort of uniformity - fugly.

As for the exterior well that looks as you would expect i guess, will see what the RS brings, but im MORE than happy with my MK2 and i dont for one second think it looks tired.

Maybe im picky :)

Is it just me or does this picture resemble a Fiat Stilo?

Going to have to see this in the flesh before I judge it. Keeping a keen eye on this car as its likely to be in the running to be my next one hopefully.
