new clio - vibration when first move off

Hi, I have a 1.2 new stlye clio and just recently it has begun making a sort of shuddering/vibration sound (with no affect on steering) when I first start the car and move off.

It comes on at 3mph for about 1 second. Especially if been a while since moved. (Also think it done it when I went fast round a tight bend).

My aunts 1.4 sport W-reg did this exact thing for about 2 years but it annoys me, anyone have it? know what it is? know how its fixed (just so I have an idea before telling reno.) The only thing I could thing of was a sticky handbrake thing?

Mike.

sure you aint settin off in 3rd  hehe.

Take it to renault if its new and get them to sort it out.

handbrake sticking.

Nothing you can do about it excpet you know store the car in a centrally heated garage/move house.

No Paul Im almost positive I use first.

My aunt had an Alfa 146 (as a companie car so no worries over reliability) and yes it was ALWAYS off the road but in winter she had to put it in the garage and leave a FAN HEATER running overnight so it would start in the morning and so she could get in (if it froze, pulling handle just made it come off the door leaving the boot as the point of entry many a morning in Scotland!)

That is just wrong on any modern car.

try doin this drive off and when u get into 2nd at about 3-4000revs dip push the clutch in let go of revs then let the clutch out but not too fast if it judders then ur clutch is either galzed in sum parts and its gripping then slipping causing a judder or u have got sum grease of oil on a bit of ur clutch or if in a realy bad case of juddering ur clutch is fractured.1 question u did bed the clutch in properly 1st didnt you?because if u went out hammering it then u could of glazed it

No Wkdlad, its fine when driving and changing into and out of gears at all revs, for first loadsa miles I was gentle cos it was a replacement clio and I was well aware of the lack of performance in the new car over the settled in old one.

It has only just started doing it in last month and I am at 10034 miles so it cant be the clutch used too harsh too early.
