New clio write up

  Focus ST
So it's been improved in every way............except it's less enjoyable to drive?

Glad I didn't bother hanging on for the new Renault Sport version with vague steering. Why do they bother with all this electro-vario b****cks, when it takes so much feel and enjoyment away from the drive?

The steering was a no-brainer, and all that can happen with the RS is different software to try and improve the percieved feel and weight? Electric PAS may well kill the RS Clio and make it an also-ran. Only time will tell though as Liam says.

I'm also getting tired of hearing people (friends) bleeting on about 200bhp - it's going to need 210 to even have the same power/weight as a 182Cup (for example) Sure, it will have an extra cog and a bit more torque, but it wont be any quicker than the 182.

Saying that, we all know there will be at least 4 different performance versions, with the best being saved 'til last. I intented to keep my Cup for a good few years and tune the fawk out of it once the warranty says goodbye...then I might consider the new car at a later date :D

I had a 1.6 16v dynamique with electro-hydraulic steering, and the hydraulic of the 182 is so much better, its like night and day!
