And all I have to do to fit it is unscrew the back of the laptop, remove the current RAM and put that in its place? The OS will automatically run off of it?
Need a bit of help...I've just gone to transfer files (music, photos etc) from my old PC to new MacBook. Both connect to my home wireless network, but not to each other. So I tried connecting them up with an ethernet cable but the MacBook doesnt want to connect to the PC. I had a quick look through the network settings on both, the firewall on my PC is off and I cant see anything on the mac that would stop them connecting? Anything I'm missing?
I checked file sharing is enabled..looked all fine to me.
I've decided just to wack everything onto an external hard drive I found at home, then when all the files have transferred onto the hard drive I'm going to plug it into the Mac and stick them on that way.
I would have done this in the first place but I didnt know we had an external hard drive at home.
connect both computers to your network wirelessly.
if it still doesnt work i will make a bet that your old pc is on vista? if so make sure your network is a private network as i think that is what most commonly buggers up filesharing.
