new dephaser.

  ibiza cupra
finally got it done as i heard a few horror stories about them going and doing a fair bit of damage. mine had needed doing for about a year and in that year it had taken me to and from work nearly every day, done all my erons for me of a weekend, gone to devon and back and got a 15.8 time down a 1/4 mile drag strip so i think concidering, it held out very well. having it done has also made the car feel smoother when going from a standstill and also (not sure if it is just me:rolleyes:) feels smoother to drive in general. the car is now running as sweet as the day it rolled out of diepe bar a o2 sensor fault so im gona give that a clean and see if that does it, if not then ill get one of them sorted then (dare i say it) there will be nothing wrong with it:quiet: lol.

I had to get mine done straight away as it sounded like it was going to die at any second. Lucky getting so many miles out of yours!

  53 Clio's & counting
If you needed it doing a year ago why didn't you get it done? Sounds like you were very VERY lucky.

  Dodgy one
Will be doing mine when it goes in for the belts doing, Dont fancy doing it in a few thou afterwards, Double costs FTL, Nowt wrong with it at the mo though

  RS RIP
when doing this, it means cambelt off yes ?

So in other words; new cambelt job ? (mine was just done... no dephaser pulley changed !?)

***EDIT*** sorry ! Is this changed when they do the cambelt-kit ? I'm beginning to question myself now as to wether it has also been changed..)

I just changed mine. For anyone on this forum a dephaser pulley changed will 100% stop it grinding juddering and sounding like a deisel / tractor on idle
