new discs and pads

  corsa ecoflex
so i need new discs and pads and wanted to know what is the best combo to get??also what discs are best drilled, grooved, vented??as i have no idea..so your advice would be helpful

Brembo HCs + DS2500s (+ braided lines)

Thats the standard answer for this question, and pretty much everybody has good feedback from this combo :)

They've just released a bundle pack consisting of the HC discs, DS2500 pads and their braided lines.

I think that will be very popular on here tbh!

Thats the kit in the bottom link in post 5 :)

ds2500 ~ 100 from yozzasport
brembo hc ~ 115 per pair @ gsf
braided lines ~ 60 + new fluid + fitting

for discs use standard till they need changing then go to brembo

i found 2500's warp HC's on track. std renault work just aswell for me on road.

Warping shouldn't really occur unless your holding the pads on the discs when hot while stopped. So long as you didn't over cook them they should be better than the standard discs really

DS2500s are very bad for brake judder when they get hot, smearing over the disc and I would never recommend using them. Dusty too.

I agree the factory setup is awesome for occassional heavy use, but for uprated pads I would avoid Ferodo.

How good are the DS2500's from cold?

they ok for road use, tend to squeak a bit tho till warmed properly.
Biggest issue i had with oem was non braided lines. When i needed to stop in a hurry standard fluid heated and rubber lines expanded. oem pads + discs were ok till i did a few 'proper laps' but couldnt cop it when hot.

Never had an issue with ds2500. full track day and they performed really well, no juddering or issues.
I tend to find, the better the pad, the more dust you see and you generally get what you pay for.
