New engine

just a quick question(s)

will a 172 cup engine be a suitable replacement for the broken engine in my FF172, as i can get hold of a new engine from a breakers for 600+VAT
Is that a good price?

Also the engine has got 21k on it, if i did get this engine, would i change the milage on my car to indicate this as mine had 51k

Both engines are the same, and no you cant change milage

That would fit no probs, not a bad price really. As for milage. No it would stay as yor car has done 51k still!

They are £3422.78 + vat brand new from Renault

Its the actual clocks in the dash that keep track of the mileage.

Everything stays with the Chassis, reg, MOT, V5, Tax & Mileage.

there the same base block yes, you'll have to change over all the air con pump brackets etc and it will be fine! you also have to leave the clocks on 51k!! £600 isnt at all bad for it!!

im going to wait till the engine has been strpped down first to see how bad the damage really is. also going to try a few reno breakers when i know i need a new engine.

Its a proper pisser that its broke, i drove my sisters 1.5 dci clio to work today and its a world of difference!
