new european law

Car  RS 182 CUP
had a memo come round at work today that a new european law is being/or has been passed that as of next year all cars are to have pressure sensitive valves fitted to there wheels. nightmare things if you ask me all they do is corrode and cost people more money than theyre worth.

Can't see that coming into effect?

Surely anyone who doesn't notice their tyres are flat, shouldn't hold a driving license?

a lot of citroens use pressure sensitive valves, some peugeots, but originally renault were the first to introdce them into the mainstream on lagunas!

You'd be surprised how many people I've seen driving with a flat tire. I saw one today infact. lol.

I suppose people could check their tyre pressures now and again? That would require the driver to not be stupid though. We must protect the stupid at all costs. FFS.

It's not working out quite how Darwin would have liked :(

is that not just for a certain class of vehicle, M1 on or something but those are 2.5 tonnes and up, or am i mixing up the million different EU categories for stuff. i know that ESP and stuff will be/is mandatory soon/now.
