New Evo Project

lol @ people knocking ksport.

The quickest scooby in time attack last year ran ksports. A lot of the big power sprint boys on mlr run ksports.

Kenny 1 who holds the track record at 3 of the well known sprint circuits in the uk has ksports on the front of his 620bhp evo 5.

Its all about the pads

they were also sponsored so when the calipers leaked and fell apart they got new ones free... LOL!

Sigh. This again. Didn't we have this conversation with the M5?

Yes lol.

I wish people would send me pms if they have a problem with what I spend MY money one lol.

Once again wannabe know it alls :rasp:

i dont care what you spend your money one lol....

i do however know and have seen failures in certain products... as long as you are happy thats what matters, i dont know why you would care what others think lol!

Proton!

Oh dear!

Blah Blah lol.

Some recent progress pics. Obviously the car is going to look s**t at the moment but prep work takes time.

You can see in the 2nd pic how much width there is for wider alloys. Hmmmmmmmm.

Excellent build mate, always been a fan of the cars you build. Never quite understood how you make money out of them! Is this a business or a hobby?

The fastest/widest Proton in the west!!

For a while you had a touch of brilliance. M5, RS6....Now a proton!!!

Will the new wheels be flush with the arches?

Yes.

Not liking the choice of wheel if I'm honest

I'm sitting on the post at the minute, it's very hard to find a 4 stud alloy with a 22mm offset with enough width to fill the arches. Time will tell once they are fitted, very good price though, much better in matt black, and are nice and light. If it does not work out I will swap the hubs to 5 stud from a later Evo, thing is this is a alot of work to do just for a set of alloys.

It does nothing for me at all.

And the new wheels are the same wheel as the Corsa boys fit to their 1.2's.

They should be nowhere near an Evo. If you can buy them in Halfords then you know you shouldn't fit them.

Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone is entitled to there opinions so I will share mine, I would not be seen dead in girls car like yours but I generally keep negative comments to myself. Also maybe you should tell the Touring car teams who use these alloys to buy something else, oh and the new Caterham owners also.

LOL. pwnt.

He's got a point.

Bodywork looks spot on now, it's getting there. I'd DEFINITELY swap to later hubs though. V wheels would look awesome with some spacing.

I will look into swapping to later hubs but wanted to get the feel of the car right first. So much more wheel choice it's unreal with 5 stud, it depends if I decide to fabricate new mounts to fit later Evo running gear or stick to the early engine. Not decided yet.

I think the team dynamics wheels will look great on this if they fill the arches properly. Keep up the good work!

Few more bits pictures.

Tyres now fitted to alloys and filled with Nitrogen
