New exhaust... suggestions please.

Hey guys,

I want to make my car sound better so I was thinking of changing the back box (dont want to change the whole thing)

Does anyone have any recommendations? Im looking at spending about £100 - 120

for this money i have seen lotsa back boxes..

Although will this make the engine sound better? or would i have to replace the whole exhaust from the engine?

Im looking at like 3 - 4 inch pipe max and it has to fit my 1.4 16v 01 reg clio (preferably without cutting the bumper.

Any suggestions / thoughts on this? good echausts... plus how do you fit it?

get one like mine, a peco powermax - nice sound and cheapish £120 i thinks...

first off how old is your car?

mines for a mk1 clio, and was very easy to put on. simply seperate the old exhaust from the first connecting joint behind the backbox, and then remove. the do the revers to put new one on.

i got mine from halfords.

Mines an 01 reg.. mk2 i think.

Oh right.. so there is no welding involved.. just a link.

Ill have to take a look into this at halfords.. i take it it sounds nice and not rediculousely loud?

I mean i want to be able to go on track days and they have limits for exhausts sound emissions
