well took the missus out to a new place of work this afternoon.

Lights on and wipers, service light came on and ABS light. turned lights off. still on. turned wipers off, after about 20 seconds the abs and service light went out.

all off on idle and the abs light and service comes back on. rev to 2000 and the lights go out.

Yes stopped to open garage, got in car and did not start.

Battery fubarred... the Battery and stop sign never came on so what could it be. battery or alternator....


Get it tested tomorrow.... but thoughts and likely cost....

check relays under the passenger footwell? They control things like lights, wipers etc, they're easily knocked out of their holders, say by the missus' handbag or something. worth a look!

Did you get a solid red light on middle of dash? did Engine/Starter try to crank at all?

Has it been serviced recently or messed with at all? What car and engine is it? and year?

all sorted a new alternator sorted the problem out. was fubaar....

Glad you sorted... Was going to say alternator... Symptoms always seem to be erratic dash after starting and then cutting out even after bumping...
