New handbrake cable? Or only adjustment?

My handbrake is pretty rubbish, so wondering if I need new cables fitting, or if it just needs adjustment?

Car has done 36k miles.

Also, anyone know how much new cables are? And roughly how much fitting would be?

cable adjustment will be under the heat shield above the middle silencer

Cheers mate, will an adjustment do it or is a new cable the best way to go?
Had my 1.2 adjusted once but withing a few days iut had mega travel again on the the handbrake lever...

would be different on the 1.2 as you can adjust the brakes in the drum.


Adjustment should help you in this case but its a bit fiddly to do

Hmm, I'm gonna get birchdown to fit me some braided hoses, and also bleed the brakes i think, i'm guessing i may aswell get it all done at the same time then it should all be sorted.
