new hidden speed cam in newcastle !!

watch out all you drivers in the toon...2 ultra sly speed cams have just gone up in newcastle this week...they are between the 3 mile pub and gosforth park hotel...one on either side of the road,on top of green posts,the one on the south side has an extra arm and looks right up the road to the A1 roundabout,the other looks down to the "brunton park" roundabout.... they are so small you hardly notice them...these are not "traffic" cams!! ,look and you can see the separate laser gun mounted above!!...pretty sure these are the new gen long distance cams....its 40 along here so be carefull !!!....ive lived here 3 years and never seen a single crash.!!!

Not saying that they aren;t speed cameras, but i had a look on the holier than thou "speed for life" website, which is Northumbria polices partner in their scamera scheme and there is no mention of the sites. By all accounts they have to publish where these new sites are, though i admit i might be wrong about this.

I hope they arent cameras as ive been down ther twice this weekend and not bang on the 40 limit. Oh well there goes my clean licence.

They dont sound like speed cameras to me. What it sounds like are these ANPR cameras, we have them in London and Kent on most major roads, dont detect speed, just log number plate details for use in crime prevention, i.e not tax, insurance, or stolen cars.
