New MacBook or New iMac?

OK so i have sold my old white iMac and am looking to replace it.

I was always wanting a MacBook which was the main reason for selling but as I don't really use a computer anywhere other than at home, i'm wondering if I should hold out to see what the new iMacs are going to be like.

I really like the new MacBooks, mainly for the engineering thats gone into them!

What would you do?

Its true. You need to think what you prefer doing. Sitting at a desk, or do you want it mobile?

TBH. I think i would use it in different places if i was able to.

But when i wrote this thread i also completely forgot about the glass trackpad. I NEED that! lol.

I have a 1 hour shopping invitation at the apple store on Tuesday with my mate who works there so have to gather all my evidence.

Macbooks are wicked, you wont regret it. Being able to use it anywhere you like around the house, the battery life is amazing, glass track pad as you mentioned is sex tbh, four finger swiping is superb.

If your feeling flush, you could buy the 24" monitor which is designed for the macbook/pros. Then you have the best of both worlds.

But i cant afford it. I want the LED screen soooo much. Hopefully they will come down in price.

Its portable.
It looks great.

I love my old macbook, couldnt live without it.

Just tha ability to either sit and peroose cliosort on your lap and have american chopper or miami ink on in the back ground is heaven

I got one when they first came out, is the bomb, trackpad is wicked and any other laptop ive used since feels clumsy and generally s**t in comparison because of the high quality of the aluminium!

im no computer geek but its fast runs ableton,ps and i just use it as a music station now, £900's alot but so glad i got it, soooo portable and battery life is wicked, and the screen

I know it sounds stupid but i really find that Apple Desktops have a better life than laptops... no issues with batteries etc... min lasted me 4.5 years and was still going like a new mac... gave it to my dad to be replaced by the new 24" badboy...
My sisters macbooks are quite laggy already.

There's something wrong there then mate, my 4 year old powerbook 1.5Ghz G4 is still going strong on leopard!
