New member and a new project

  Superleggera'd MK3
Hi everyone. Completely new to the forum and car modding. Just bought a 1.2T clio mk3, not my first choice but needs must, but seeing as i might have it a while, i fancy a bit of a project. Was just wondering what your experienced thoughts are on how to get started and what to do first. I have a few ideas, but like i said, im a newbie.

Personally, i kinda like the look of euro mods and intend to do the easy jobs like debadging it etc first while i save money. But after that what should the next thing be? Lowering? If so coilovers/springs? And what mm drops are a good place to start? (wanting bbs 15" or 16" as well)

Any help would be awesome :)

The top one is like it is now, and the second is hopefully how it will look when i debadge and smooth (poor photoshop job). Think Im getting some 15" BBS rims a friend is selling as well, so not sure how much i should drop it and how :) and any other suggestions would be cool!

  MK3 1.4 dynamique s
Hey dude, welcome to the forum!
I've got a MK3 Dynamique S, first things I did: Debadge, stubby aerial, team heko wind deflectors, 197 sport front grilles and a Sony Bluetooth head-unit, obviously, it's each to their own, but I'd advise the 197 grille the most o start off, completely transforms the look of the front:) when you have the money the dynamique S alloys 'canasta' they're called or some updated ones would look great lowered, I've ran Apex 35mm lowering springs for a while but they were very uncomfy so took them off and ran standard until now, H&R's give a nice 45mm drop & eibach's give 30mm but with better comfort, that seems to be the general opinion anyway! I have AP coilovers coming at the end of the month so i'll update you on how they are! Hope that's given you some ideas/)

That sounds good man! I will look into that grill straight away. Was looking at springs to start just as they are a tad cheaper atm. Was looking at 60mm as im dropping onto 15's on low profile stretched tyres, but not sure if that drop will be too much? Heard the ride can be a bit harsh but will have to wait to get coilovers :( think h&r 45mm might be the way to go :) it came purchased with a decent induction kit and dump valve but its annoying me already lol do you know i they are easy to remove? Cheers mate
