Running costs at a guess, mate of mine had to get rid of his impreza after 12 months because of fuel and repair bills. It was using £10 of fuel just driving to work and back (20 miles). It was making well over 300bhp though.

Hello guys and thanks for the comments. I'm from Wickford. The Impreza is going as I've had one for 4 years now and I'm fed up of paying £35 a week in petrol. The clio will do double the mileage I was getting!
Not interested in swapping the wheels I'm afraid, the clio is staying standard. There is no cruise control or ESP and yes its an import. The mileage is just under 36k so not bad. The condition of the car is stunning with not a mark on it! It was the first one I saw but I had to have it.

I can see exactly where you are coming from...I had an L reg Impreza Import and boy did that drink fuel....got fed up in the end and sold it.

Also brought an 02 172 and really enjoy it....pretty cheap to run in comparison with the Subaru.

Thats bloody expensive for petrol, lets just hope you dont miss the "oomph" of the other!!

i went the other way had a 52 plate clio sold for a 53 plate subaru sti now sold and brought a 197,
