Just thought I would say hi here as I've been lurking (and learning) for a while. My name is Jelly.

I'm looking to buy my first Renault. I'm on the hunt for good condition 172 Cup as I'm an advocate for the fun than can be had with small and lightweight cars.

Sorry, I should've also added some more info for clarity.
I'm looking for a 172 Cup that:

• Isn't rusty
• Doesn't have crushed sills
• Is original as possible. I don't mind some choice performance mods.
• Original correct Cup interior.
• Mileage isn't the most important.
• Decent service history.
• Budget around 5K.

I was originally happy to consider 182 Cup's as well, as the draw of the RB colour suits the car. But I definitely value lack of abs over colour.

I've already found this forum a wealth of knowledge, along with mates who know Clio Sports well. Seeing other peoples projects is great and it's good to see a forum still going strong in an age when Facebook seems to have killed many.

I reckon for an immaculate cup you will need to up your budget.

@Ant1 has listed his very nice cup and it's up £7500. As an example.

So, I just thought I'd update my first thread with..... GOT ONE! 😀

I picked it up from a lovely guy in Manchester last week. Have only driven it once but I'm really happy with it. When I'm not so busy, I'll get some more photos out on a drive.

It's a Swedish Reko clamshell trailer and is super useful. Only the first time I've put a car in it though 😆

I do feel it needs some googley eyes as when it's open it looks like it's nomming things up.

@Howell Thanks. The van is awesome. Lwb 4motion with diff lock. VW Amorok steel wheels as I like a modded OEM+ look and the BFG AT tyres do get used on my land 😀

@Matthew_ Ha, you would be forgiven for thinking that. I've honestly got to say it kinda just happened that way. Van came up for sale a few years back and is quite rare with the spec we wanted. It just happened to be blue! We all know the answer to the Clio colour as well..... 🤓😄
