Hi - any advice gratefully received.
I've recently purchased a Clio 172 Cup - following years of Passat/Mondeo diesel company cars I now have a job that pays me a car allowance!!!
I started scouring the classifieds immediately - I had a 172 Cup nearly new in 2003 and loved it. I found one locallly that was tidy and only £2k. 75k miles 1 owner for 9 years of its life and garaged. Not bad, I'll be doing a few miles (2k a month) so the relative fuel efficiency of the stripped out cup is nice, its obviously not the most comfortable but after 6 or 7 years in 2.0 diesels I couldn't care less.
I'm already looking at Megane 225 F1's for once I know the job is secure and I can make a bigger investment (but want something thats done most of its depreciating due to the miles I'll put on it - hence no R26!). For now the Clio is ideal, went over to Norfolk yesterday - there are some cracking roads around that neck of the woods, I had a blast!!
The condition of the car is really good other than a number of marks on the rear bumper which I'd like to get re-painted - can anyone recommend a good paint shop in the Stourbridge/Kidderminster area. I'd also like to get the steering wheel re-trimmed, any recommendations local to me?
