New paint - best polish and wax to use?

  172 - 249bhp @ the wheels
Hello, this is probably the first time I have EVER posted in here, as I rarely if everclean my car  My GF however has had her car bare metal re-sprayed and we're going to give it a right good polish and wax before FCS.

Question is what polish should we use that doesn't have cutting agents? Is Autoglym Super Resin polish okay? We also have Meguiars Gold Glass clear coat, but being complete noobs we have no idea what to use or if these are okay to use on brand new paint.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Well it may or may not be relavant to you, but my mate had his aston martin bare shell painted and the guy that did it (restores classics) said not to polish for at least three months. Give the paint time to breath properly and settle.

But like I say, no idea if thats relavant to you or not as the processes could have been different.

Don't polish or use anything abrasive on relatively new paint. just seal it a sealant and wax to add a bit of protection to it.

Out of curiousity, why do you need to polish and correct it if it's just been painted?
