Pretty sure it's just a full fat 182 in Racing Blue, which is what I wanted really as I much prefer the interior and if I'm honest with myself I never drive hard enough to notice the differences.

Really? It's a genuine Renault dealer and they are doing cambelts for £150 on all 4 cylinder engines? Are these other companies you mention local?

Couple of nice cars between you then. I think I may have seen you around Rouen road and in the traffic to get into morrisons car park once or twice. I was I my golf at the time though.

I've also seen a van for that garage driving around, it does say on the back that they do cambelts on all Renault 4 cylinder engines for £150, don't know how much they'd sting you to do the dephaser at the same time though!

She's going in tomorrow to get the belt done. It's £150 for the belt only, £225 with pulleys and £700ish for belt, aux belt, pulleys, dephaser and oil!

I opted for the £225 option as I can't here any untoward noises as of yet and simply don't have the funds to replace a working dephaser! I know it could go in 6 months down the line but I'l cross that bridge when I come to it

the service history when i bought my 182 contained many reciepts for petes motors on barns road norwich, that included the belt, dephaser and aux service, might be worth calling them in the future for a price if there close to you

I'd be weary if I was you, you havnt been on here long enough to understand the importance of doing it correctly

It's a genuine Renault garage and I've already voiced my concerns about the price. They said it will take longer than they would like and won't really make any money but that is the offer they've advertised and they have to honour it.

I also asked to speak to one of the mechanics who confirmed they had all the correct, genuine locking tools. I understand it is a serious job on these cars otherwise I would do it myself, just don't have the time to be driving 80+ miles to a specialist
