New Renault Clio Extreme 1.2ltr - 2005

Hey guys!

My girlfriend's just brought her first car, a Flame Red Renault Clio Extreme, 2005 with a 1.2ltr engine. Want to make sure she has to spend as little as possible on taking care of it so was just wondering about any common faults, things likely or possibly to go wrong, just any tips and tricks in maintaining the car really besides the obvious regular oil and filter changes, topping levels and other basic maintenance...

Cheers man... so what's the likliest things to go wrong? I've just had to fork out £500 for a new battery, complete exhaust system (the other was blowy AS HELL), complete new brakes and a few minor bits on my 323f...
