New round here.. What should I get

  172 Cup
How do. My name is Nick, I currently own a 2003 Subaru WRX but need some cash towards a house purchase so it's up for sale.

My friends have recommended a Clio Cup which will cost me less to insure and run but I can still have bags of fun and a few grand towards stamp duty on the new house :(

So can someone tell me anything to look out for or any other suggestions.

Also are there any meets in the east of england ?

Many thanks

Nick

Which would cost an extra £5K - he's trying to save money!

Try to find an unmolested one, as there are some shocking modifications out there which they really don't need.

If you plan on tracking it uprated brakes may come in handy depending on your driving style.

Engine mods...costs a lot for any real gains, so most have maybe filter, exhaust, and ECU. Inlent manifold matching is popular, gives good gains.

Suspension? Each to their own, I personally find the standard suspension setup is friendly enough not to get you into trouble on the road, but focussed enough to really exploit on track. I'm sure many others will disagree...but they can't drive ;)

  172 Cup
Thanks MarkCup.

Ideally I want 4k in the pocket from the sale so that would leave me approx 6k to spend, hence just in Cup price range.
