New type of ticking...

I have a clio rt 1.4 thats ticking too... but not like any of the others ive read.

I hear the ticking sometimes, its quite quiet - I dont hear it all the time coz of music etc, but the faster I go, the faster it ticks - like at 80mph it sounds like a constant noise and not really a tick coz its tickin so fast.



Any ideas?

I had a similar tick - a bit like a card in the spokes of a bike wheel - get the wheel bearings thoroughly looked at.

will get them checked when i get new drive shaft / cv joints cheers.

i now get a high pitched metallic sound on the valver but onl;y at 2 - 2.5k , sounds like someone running a bar across a metal fence.
