New tyre advice

Im off to get brand new tyres tomorrow, im planning on getting Toyo Proxes t1-r's but the question is what profile do i go for with 195s'... 40's or 45's?
Im undecided because my cars at standard ride height at the minute and i dont want noticeably big gappy arches. (currently have 172 5-spokes)
It may not be noticeable but just after some advice please

40s will be a much harsher ride if youve already got 45s, will feel the bumps more i did going from 50>45's

Not too worried about the ride quality to be honest, just scared about the arches...

got to agree i had some toyo T1-s on the front of my old 1.6 and didnt really rate them in the wet. PE2's are soooooooooo much better

hi,
ive just fitted toyo t1's to my ph 1 172 standard wheels- ride hieght , best tyres i've had so far, loads of grip.
Good in the wet but not not great if there's loads of standing water(as i found out in belgium on they're crap motorway's).
