new water pump and timing belt kit???

so ive got the conclusion my water pump has gone, but my step dad said may aswell change the timing belt whilst its all off, especially as we dont know the lst time it was changed.
can any one get me a quote for the parts i need and the best place to go to order them.
im not to sure one the part numbers.

my car is a 2000 renault clio grande 1.2
number plate w539 ybp. if anyone knows what the part number would be

any help or advice will very appreciated.

I've found it on a site we can get discount on for being a member. But 3 different part numbers for the water pump. If I call Renault direct would they know.

The water pump isn't driven off the timing belt like on some cars so you don't necessarily need to change the belt if you don't want/need to.

I was thinking of getting it done anyway. As I didn't know when it was last done. So as we in that area of the car we may aswell do it rather than take it all out again when it needs doing. Save the hassle twice. Kill two birds with one stone. And cheers for the info that it not ran off the belt.

Did'nt see that it was for a 1.2, not that I'd know if there was a difference anyway, just that I asked the same question whilst having some cams put in my 172.

The water pump is driven off the timing belt on a 1.2, dont listen to the above, they clearly do not know.

i dont know either, sort of figuring it out, my step dad nows his way around and engine and that so hell probably do it for me, or step bro as he worked in a garage too. ill just stand by and help out, try nd learn a thing or two, gotta start somewhere i suppose

100% timing belt driven water pump... Deffo change it!

There's a few variations on the non-genuine water pumps though so be sure you get the right one. It's a nice DIY job though these engines so take your time and have fun.
