New Wipers

needed new set of wipers so went to 1 of my works renault dealerships yesterday and bought a set, pukka renault ones in a renault branded/badged cardboard package etc.

on the front of each of the 2 packages it said "FOR: CLIO (3/98 - 4/01)" then underneath that "CLIO (UK) (3/98 - 4/01)"

now that to me says there for Clios from 1998 R reg to 2001 Y reg which afaik would make the wipers for a mk2 ph1 clio, which is the same shape as my 04 reg mk2 ph3 clio, hence I'd imagine both run the same wipers, therfore I was a bit confused when they said it was cars only upto april 2001, but anyway the wipers were the same length as the ones I took off my car, looked almost the same and fitted spot on.

HOWEVER, the next thing was, the new blades I bought said "Valeo" on them (bearing in mind they were proper renault ones tht came in a renault branded package), but the old ones I took off, which looked like the originals had what looked like a Bosch logo on them, i.e. the blades I took off were a different make from the ones I replaced them with.

are the wipers I bought the right ones for my car or have I been sold the wrong wiper blades??

Aye, do they work?

Use the washer jets to clear the screen, and if the wipers clear the water away, they're the right ones.

pfft feck buying those 1s, I work for a company (arnold clark) that owns several renault dealerships, so I got the genuine wipers for 13quid the pair.

BTTT does anyone know the answer to my question(s) rather than just giving me pointless replies like "does it matter"

when quite obviously of course it matters if I've been sold wipers that only fit cars upto april 2001 (01 Y reg) and mines is an 04 reg, hence I could potentially be running the incorrect wipers for the car.
