newbie advice on swirls and scratch

  r27
i have a 197 racing blue which has a small scratch on the sill i used some polish to try to remove it but it has dulled the paint and created a lot of swirling in a small patch about 3 inches
is there a way to get the shine back and remove all the swirling

Name of the polish would be handy and I am sure a few of us on here can advise how to sort it.

Standard response that fixes 90% of things in life: Autoglym Super Resin Polish...never lets you down.

On my 2 week old R27 I noticed some scratches near the fuel filler cap. Tried polish but didn't work so I bought some Meguirs Scratch X stuff (sp).
After about 5 passes the marks were well and truly gone.
I then stopped crying and was happy that my car was like new again.

the polish i used was wurth sa besto

daveydw I'd stick to the products that are well known lol, sometimes worth the extra few quid, as for problem you have put a thread up asking for someone local who is familiar with a pc polisher to correct the area for you, shouldn't take too long :)Wouldnt cost you much.
