Newbie from Exeter Area!

Hey guys!

New to the site, and new to Clio's in general, joined fresh from a 206cc forum!

I have a 53 plate 172 Cup, completely standard (for the moment), dont know much about it apart from that i love it... it is an electric blue, not the nice blue everyone else seems to have... i have the Turini wheels tho i think?! lol

Anyone giving me the heads up on some info about my car? as you can tell im a complete noob but hopefully you lot can educate me a bit?

i wanna keep it fairly standard looking but beef it up a bit, maybe just lower it, slap on a set of 17s (or 18s if they fit comfortably), and make it sound a bit meatier... any ideas on the sound? i wana get a nice sounding exhaust but wanna keep the bumper the same with no tailpipe popping out of the back... :dapprove:

any advice on air filters too... i just want it to sound loud cos my 206cc sounded amazing and i miss the sound more than anything... the louder the better! lol

Well the car you've got is a 172 cup, "lighter" than the normal 172. Doesn't have ABS, xenon headlights or leather seats.

Do not put 18" wheels on it.

ahh cheers, i found a page which shows the differences which really helped. why should i nt put 18s on it? does it cause problems or do you think it looks a bit silly? lol

I wouldn't even put 17" wheels on a clio. Far too big, expensive tyres, look s**t.

Car looks good, work in Exeter so will see if I spot it.

And echo the comments on the wheels, change the style by all means but don't go any bigger, 16s or even down to 15s suit these really well and don't screw up the handling.

u mean modified mania in smeatharpe?! im prob gonna see if i can pop along, a few of my friends are doing a charity babe calendar thing prancing around in hotpants and tight tops to collect money for some disease so will go along with them i expect...
