Thought I'd do a quick newbie post as I'm avid user of the info on here.
Quick bit of history, now living in Surrey, I used to have a couple of 106 pugs including a fairly swift 106gti with cams, headwork l&B fly etc then I fancied moving to the Japs and got a Nissan 350z. Having had that for a couple of years and toyed with that I decided that in all honestly, although it was a nice car to drive and look at I was bored of it so sold it about 3 weeks ago, I'm now after a hot hatch in the form of a clio 182 cup.
I know Ollie (blue 172 cup) from here who helped me out on both the pug and the zed with Mot prep / exhausts and the like and always liked the clio's including his cup.
I know my way around a car but what specific Clio 'quirks' should I be looking out for in particular. From what I understand the common issues include lumpy idle on cold start and oil leaks from the cam cover and syncro on 2nd and 3rd,
any more?
