Newbie needing advice on buying a Monaco 172

Hi guys

Been on the forum a while as always liked the Clio RS's, but have only just been able to afford one.

Love the monaco colour, its had both belts/waterpump/coolant done at 100k back in Jan 2015, looks a bit high on the rear and the mileage is putting me off a bit, going to view tomorrow if I think its worth a look.

Looks OK make sure there is proof of the belts being done as that's 600 at least to do.You can check the vehicles mot history free online with reg and make of car,that gives a bit of information on condition what it's failed on before etc.I would also do a hpi check aswell.

Yeah seen the documents for the belts etc change, and already checked the MOT history and it seems okay.
Just wanting to pick all the clio geeks brains about it incase im missing something!

Have you got a mate who could look over the car with you.

Id be able to look over the general parts and listen out for things myself but havent got someone who knows about these to go up with no.
He breaks clios apparently, and the car has been sat since it passed its MOT in October.

Looks tidy enough! Try knock a few quid off for the sake of it and double check belts were done by a specialist.

So its MOT history, mainly failed on general things, but telltale signs of a decat/boy racer abuse with the stickers/EML on, not sure what the engine light means? Guessing it just means EML again.

Going to give this one a miss and look for another one, high miles for me and only pulled 156bhp on the dyno in 2015 at a rolling road on this forum.
