Newbie Needs Some Help

Need some help, Just cheacking my oil and its on the min notch on the dip stick but on the dash it says " oil ok " I thought i read in the man it checks the level in blocks on the dash.

What oil do is reccomended?

The car was last serviced at 3709 and its now done 9700.

Also i noticed a sticker on the engine saying Timing belt was done at 4795 miles, Whats the normal belt time done at?

if we're talking an Astra Coupe Turbo.. your in the wrong forum. for oil I'd imagine something like Shell Super (yellow bottle) would be fine.

Timing belt should be good for more miles but again if it's an Astra Im not too sure.

sounds like an Evo service schedule. lol

i never go off the dash display for oil, you're best checking yourself.

Elf Excellium or Total Quartz is the oil of choice I do beleive

Elf pro silkline 5-40 is ideal but might as well chnage the oil.
