Newbie + V6 Replica

hey everyone newbie here,

im over in canada at the moment at uni and will be finished the end of april. when i get back im getting a new car (not brand new). i was thinking what to get and decided making a clio v6 replica would be a good idea.

ive sourced out the kit from http://www.maximumautostyle.com,/">U color=#0000ff www.maximumautostyle.com,/U just wondering if anyone has ever seen it in real life? is it top notch?

just one other thing - id have to find a cover to fit where i would take out the back seats to make it look like there is the engine in the rear. do u reckon i could get one from renault? im having trouble finding out because im over in canada.

any help with this would be great.

thanks
skippy

ps. ive put this on the renaultsportsclub website and have ahad some great respnses, just looking for more help

You could get all the bits you need for the interior through renault but ill tell you now it wont be cheap, some of the V6 parts are ridiculous prices!!

Personally mate i wouldnt bother, dont waste your money! Save it instead so you can buy something fast instead of something thats all show and no go!

ive been looking at my money situation and i think i can probably stretch to a second hand 172 or cup ase the base model for it ... they cant be that much slower surely?

kit looks pukka mate!! all the looks of a v6 without the insurance bill! im sure you can get the cover from renault but as above it may not be cheap. good luck anyway and let us know how you get on.

Hmmm... i was under the impression it would be a 1.2 lookalike

More to the point how would you go about changing the track for the wheels??

im guessing at the moment that i would be able to use spacers to move the wheels out, just one of the many little issues i need to sort out.

anyone got any ideas on this? how much wider is the v6?
