Hi everyone, after a long time searching for a good example I picked up a lovely 04 182 cup yesterday... 55k loads of Renault service history.
The car feels great and I already love it far more than my previous motor.. an 05 Impreza STI Prodrive, which I just found to be soulless and uninvolving to drive despite (or maybe because of) the huge power and impeccable handling.
The Clio just feels so much more raw and fun!
The only slight issue I've noticed with the Clio is putting into 1st and 5th gear requires a pronounced, sharp, right angled throw of the gear lever. It isn't stiff to go in 1st or 5th and doesn't require any additional force, just needs this particular technique.
Is this just a 'feature' of the gearbox or is it something that could be relatively easily rectified?
