Newbie with alarm question!

Hi everyone, just bought my new campus sport in silver. Still pure and it will be lowered in the next 3 months after i start my new job and have the money!

I have been to a well known ICE installer in Portsmouth and been told that it would be 300 pounds to upgrade my alarm with a Sigma upgrade. Apparently he does this upgrade for the local Renault garage. It would be category one and allow me cheaper insurance. Does anybody have experience of this alarm system?
I also told the salesman that would spend a total of £900 (2 satnavs and the alarm). What sort of discount should i ask for!?!?! I was thinking 10%, do you think this is too much/little? I'm a teacher...should I try harder?

Any thoughts?
