Before you say search, i can't search for 3 letter words ;)

Getting a nice little pay rise in April so may treat myself.

Take it fitting them is easy?

But what about setting them up?

Whats all this camber bolt stuff?

Whats the "life" of them, i drive down shitty bumpy country lanes quite often, will that kill them off?

Do i have to have them stupidly low? Don't want much a drop over standard TBH.

Fitting is easy as pie, can be attempted yourself.
Not sure how far you are away but if it aint too far I'd do them for you.

Setting them up you need a pro place really. They can be guessed by eye but in order for the benefits you need the works, tracking, camber, caster, toe in, and corner weighting if you are serious.

Camber bolts adjust the camber (not being sarcastic), using the std bolts will give you about -ve 2 degrees, which is a fair bit, camber bolts allow you to reduce this angle.

I think the life will be better than the standard stuff to be honest, i've never heard any horror stories.

Fitting them is fairly easy.

I'd get them set up properly, camber etc.

I've not got camber bolts on mine

Mine seem pretty tough, done over 12k without any probs.

iirc you can have them set up higher then the OEM suspension.

Do i need camber bolts, i'm ok fitting them if it's same as standard, just the setting up.

How much am i looking for getting them set up?

Bumping this up again,
So i'd buy them
1) put on my car myself ( guessing my ride hight)??
2) get tracking done if needed
3) job done?

Is it really that simple?

I made a guide for fitting H&R coilovers. Take a look as it might help you.
I would recomend getting the camber adjusting bolts as if you have too much negative camber your tyres wont last long.
And yes get the tracking done too.
Then enjoy them by going for a razz :)

if you wont/can't spend the extra to get ASTs, buy blisteins instead. EXACTLY the same as H&R, but significantly cheaper

I was thinking about this and with abit more time saving I would go for them but my car will also be for social and commuting aswell as trackdays so do you think ASTs are the right coilovers for me?

Beware; there are two types going round... Mine had the "oval" holes for where the camberbolts should go, if this is the case absolutely no camberbolts needed. The newer typer have the round holes, this is where you'll be needing the cambelbolts to adjust camber.

Ask before you buy , the older types have the oval holes (mine did) !!
