Nicest car sound you've ever heard

If we're talking standard road cars, then the Stradale is pretty impossible to beat, amazing exhaust note. Would have to put the CSL up as the car with the best induction noise though!

S2000 running TODA ITB's - 10k RPM with VTEC and 'bodies
M3 CSL - induction noise is enough to peel paint
Audi Sport Quattro - Nothing sounds like one
F430 Scuderia - Can't believe it's legal!
Any single turbo Supra or Skyline
Carrera GT - Wooooooop Wooooooooooooooooooooooooop... phenominal noise
 
The Team Tiger Marcos or Morgan Aero 8 that used to run in the British GT Championship are easily the best two I've heard in the metal. So different to most other cars.

For a road car (sort of), the Mercedes SL 63 AMG F1 Safety Car, best sounding car at Goodwood FoS by a mile imo.

Don't need to be loud to sound amazing, the exhaust note of these is just perfect.

You got diff filter? One i was in wasn't that loud.

For induction que the biasm...V6 is awesome.

But i'd say anything from the late 60's early 70's...proper motors!
 
Any of the Group C/GTP era cars, the one's i heard at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago sounded absolutely awesome as they went past!

Road car wise i think the 430 Scud sounds brilliant, and agree with you Chris about that F1 Safety car at FoS.
 
ok, so not quite in the same league as some of these supercars - but my dad used to have a Volvo T5R, it was an old green M reg or something - but that made a lovely noise when he booted it!
 
best ever is my mates new AE86 Corolla. 1.6 16v at 8krpm is awesome.

Good call. Feck ugly from the front but hearing it in the GT racing at Oulton last year, it had a fantastic noise to it. Proper deep and loud. Almost looked a little daft that something so relatively small could produce such a noise. :)

madza 787 remind me of gran turismo hehe i would say there is lots of cars that sound the dogs but depending what sound you like deep or turbo wine
 
would have to be 360 cs or 430 scud and even clio v6 with OMG exhaust
