well .. got round home from work and decided to fit my painted handles on my mk3 to replace the silver.. and getting rid of everything silver on the car now 
....
iv decided tomorrow i'll write a guide to how it was done because after pulling my door card to bits, ripping the insulator to pieces ...smashing half of my trim... tearing a speaker wire out ... and ripping my hand to pieces ... i figured out a much easier way to do it ...... although i already knew there was the bung on the side .. it didn't seem to work .. but once i had it all to bits and put it back together i knew how it worked ... so one door took me 2 hours ha, the other just 10 mins ...
possibly the most frustrating experience of my car so far .... which gladly isn't some dire problem ha ....
