Nikon camera question

Hi i have a Nikon D5100. A few times of using it the camera says no SD card installed. I have tried another card. Has anyone else had this or is it 2 faulty cards? Thanks Lee.

Yes when i 1st got the card. When i 1st used it and it was not recognised by the camera so i formated it. I might do it again.

No i formatted it in the PC.

See if you can get it to format in the camera.

It needs to be FAT/FAT32, so if you do format it on a pc, choose one of them as an option and not NTFS

It has been formatted in fat 32. It still does it from time to time. back to the shop.

It must be camera. I have tried 2 cards and it still does it. The cards are ok in the Nikon 9100.

Oh s**t.... not good, hopefully a replacement will be sorted for you.

I have taken it back to Jessops in Preston and he has sent it away. He said another Nikon did the same in low light / evening shots. It was only bought on 14th December.

Apparently it was a firmware issue. If i known that i would have done it myself.
