Nikon D50 - Better zoom lens :)

Just got my Nikon D50 and impressed so far - even though i havent really used it yet!

it has the 18-55 lens but i could do with a bigger zoom

recommend and good lens please.

Sigma 70-300 f4-5.6 DG Macro all the way, fantastic lens for next to nothing (as lens go!), I was supposed to sell mine when I got my 80-200 but I can't let it go. Costs just under £100 on most sites, I personally wouldn't pay the extra for the APO version.

^^^ That review was totally unbiased, but...

Now I have a Teleconverter for my 80-200 I have nearly 300mm covered. If you want my 70-300 it's yours for £75 delivered. Only used it 4 times (3 photos in New York, one Airfield day and two days at Castle Combe), mint condition with original box and documents...
